Frank and Natalie have chosen Coney Island for their ceremony due to
many years
of deep seeded love for the establishment. Natalie has been
a fan and a patron of Coney Island
since moving to Brooklyn in 2001,
visiting countless times. When the pair started dating,
Frank had never
been, despite best intentions, so it was naturally Natalie's duty to
drag him
down to the boardwalk for his first Coney Island experience,
where the two shared one of their most memorable dates.
Since then, they've taken every opportunity they can to dash down to
Coney,
partaking in regular doses of pistachio ice cream and french
fries,
briskly walking the docks and watching the local fishermen take
in their catch,
"enjoying" the rides with bellyfuls of lemonade,
watching horror-themed burlesque
and fireworks by night and the freak
show by day, jumping in the water in the wintertime (Natalie only),
snapping ridiculous shots in the photo booth, and enjoying the
one-of-a-kind kitsch
and wonder that the neighborhood has to offer. The Coney Island Museum
was their ideal spot for the ceremony not only due to the amazing memories the two have attached,
but also due to the strange and wonderful treats and marvels that adorn the walls.
Just try to resist distorting yourself in the various fun house mirrors!
